Colchicine Recall
Injectable Colchicine (specifically, .5mg/ml, 4ml vials, lot number 20070122@26) has been recalled at the request of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Three people allegedly died after the recalled injectable Colchicine was administered. We obtained a settlement for one of those people.
According to a story in the Salem News:
An investigation by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office revealed that a drug lot preparation error led to two, and possibly three, deaths due to colchicine toxicity in Oregon and Washington. Two of the deaths occurred in Portland and the other death occurred in Yakima County, Washington.
